Taipei Chun Dazhi Store

The celebrated Kyoto Gion destination, Yakiniku Gyusho Shin, has officially announced its arrival in Taiwan! Once a top-tier Wagyu experience that required a flight to Japan to enjoy, the brand is now bringing its authentic flavors directly to local diners. The first location is scheduled to begin soft opening in late May at Chun Da Zhi in Taipei, marking its official entry into Taiwan’s high-end dining market.

Yakiniku Gyusho Shin originated in Kyoto Gion—the heart of traditional Japanese culture and culinary aesthetics. Renowned for its uncompromising selection of ingredients and master-level charcoal grilling techniques, it has become an iconic landmark for local gourmets. This expansion is a joint venture between TOPLUS GLOBAL and the Japanese brand, importing the complete operational model and culinary philosophy to bring authentic Japanese craftsmanship to the Taiwanese market.

Sun Cheng-chiang, Chairman of TOPLUS GLOBAL, stated: “This is more than just introducing a brand; it is about bringing the complete yakiniku culture of Kyoto Gion to Taiwan. We want consumers to experience the most authentic ‘Itamae’ (chef-to-guest) yakiniku right here in Taipei, without having to travel all the way to Japan.”

The brand insists on using Omi Beef, which boasts over 400 years of history. Specifically, they select “Omi Heifers,” often hailed as the “Queen of Wagyu.” Through the Itamae service style—where masters perform and prepare the meal live before the guests—the brand presents the purest flavors of the ingredients while conveying the essence of Japanese culinary culture.

The entry of “Yakiniku Gyusho Shin” into Chun Da Zhi marks the official arrival of this international-tier yakiniku brand in the Taiwan market. In the future, Taiwanese gourmets will be able to enjoy an authentic Gion yakiniku feast locally, without flying to Kyoto. Detailed menus and soft opening information will be released progressively on the TOPLUS GLOBAL official website and the brand’s official social media platforms.
